Keene officials have used Narcan 78 times so far this year on 41 patients

KEENE - Keene Police and Fire have released a six-month report on the number of times they have used Narcan on a patient in the last six months. The results showed they have used the opioid overdose drug reversal drug 78 times on a total of 41 patients. So far, Keene has seen three deaths due to opioid overdoses.

This information has been recorded on a monthly basis for the year and is listed below.

  • January 2016: Responded to five patients and administered Narcan a total of 10 times to those patients.
  • February 2016: Responded to 13 patients and administered Narcan a total of 30 times to those patients.
  • March 2016: Responded to four Patients and administered Narcan a total of seven times to those patients.
  • April 2016: Responded to two patients and administered Narcan a total of four times to those patients.
  • May 2016: Responded to five patients and administered Narcan a total of seven times to those patients.
  • June 2016: Responded to 12 patients and administered Narcan a total of 21 times.
