Keene man suffers serious head trauma in motorcycle accident


KEENE - A 19-year-old man was taken by helicopter to a local hospital with serious head trauma after his motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck Monday night.

Police said Timothy Cates Jr. of Keene was driving his motorcycle without a helmet when he failed to stop in time for a pick-up truck making a left-hand turn from Court Street into Stone Arch Village Apartments and collided with the rear of the truck.

The driver of the truck was identified as Tucker Lash-Wheeler, 24, of Keene.

The case remains under investigation by the Collision Analysis Team. Anyone who was witness to the event or has further information is urged to contact Lt. Jason Short at (603) 357-9813.
