Keene Fire Department has responded to 24 overdoses - 2 fatal - so far in 2016

KEENE — Keene Fire Department has posted the number of suspected opiate overdose responses and the number of times they've administered Narcan on a monthly basis, as the state continues to tackle the drug epidemic.

The information provided below is for January through April of this year:

-January: 5 incidents and administered Narcan a total of 10 times to 5 patients.

-February: 13 incidents and administered Narcan a total of 30 times to 13 patients.

-March: 4 incidents and administered Narcan a total of 7 times to 4 patients.

-April: 2 incidents and administered Narcan a total of 4 times to 2 patients.

Since Jan. 1, Keene Police reports there have been two deaths in Keene as a result of the opiate problem.
