Keene businessman accused of kicking 17-year-old dog to death
KEENE - A Keene man was arrested on animal cruelty charges after allegedly turning himself into police Monday.
Toby Tousley, 55 of Keene, is accused of kicking a 17-year-old Chihuahua to death.
According to the Keene Sentinel, the dog wandered into the yard of a rental property on Carroll Street Saturday.
Tousley allegedly kicked the dog, who was then unresponsive and later died.
Tousley, a prominent businessman in Keene, owns Tousley Property Management and is attempting to get the Ward 2 seat for the City Council and registered the "NH Pumpkin Festival."
He was released on $1,000 bail and will be arraigned Dec. 10 in Keene.
