Jury reaches verdict in Boston Marathon bombings trial

BOSTON - A verdict has been reached in the Boston Marathon bombings trial.

The jury will return to court at 1:45 p.m. to announce the verdict on 30 charges against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

A verdict was reached after 11 hours of deliberations. 17 of the 30 counts against Tsarnaev carry the death penalty.

Lawyers, survivors, victims families, and the media have been let into the court, and are standing for the verdict announcement.

Tsarnaev has entered the courtroom. He was seen talking with his lawyers. Prosecutors were still standing.

Accounts from the courtroom say Tsarnaev's demeanor looks no different than past few days. He looked relaxed, and often smiled and laughed with his defense team.
