Jurors deliberate in trial for woman accused of crashing NH school bus while on phone

NOTTINGHAM – Jurors have begun deliberations in the case of the ex-bus driver who was accused of using her phone before crashing with children on the bus.

The big question for jurors is whether school bus drivers should be held to higher standard.

The crash happened in Nottingham back in February 2015. Stephanie Boyd originally said she missed a turn in the road.

But later she admitted to police she was downloading an app on her phone. The next thing she knew, the bus had gone off the road and into a tree.

The crash left three children injured, including one who suffered from a broken jaw.

Jurors were scheduled to resume deliberations resume Thursday at 9 a.m.
