Judge won't drop charges against NH man accused of sexually assaulting 10-year-old girl

DERRY (AP) — A judge won't dismiss charges against a New Hampshire man accused of sexually assaulting 10-year-old girl.

The Eagle-Tribune reports that a Derry judge ruled last week the court had found probable cause for aggravated felonious sexual assault charges against 39-year-old Anthony Sebastian III of Derry.

Sebastian had sought the dismissal of the charges.

Authorities say Londonderry police launched an investigation in April after the alleged victim wrote a note to her guidance counselor describing multiple sexual assaults by a man living in her home.

Police say the girl told them Sebastian started abusing her when she was 5 years old while her mother was at work. Sebastian turned himself into police in May.

His lawyer had argued there were inconsistencies in the victim's testimony to her counselor and authorities.
