Joe Knows: Dangerous fire weather conditions possible Friday across NH

NH1 Chief Meteorologist - NH1.com

Be cautious.

Dangerous fire weather conditions are possible Friday for parts of New Hampshire and Western Maine.

Strong high pressure in control of the region will continue the dry pattern. A well-mixed atmosphere will allow for some of this drier air to mix down and produce relative humidities at-or-below 25 percent.

At the same time, a steady breeze with wind gusts around 15-20 mph will produce conditions that may be conducive to rapid or uncontrolled fire growth.

Burning is not advised and please dispose of cigarettes appropriately.

The Fire Weather Watch is in effect Friday morning through Friday evening for critical fire weather conditions.
