Joe Knows: Chemtrails, contrails and the confusion and conspiracies surrounding them
This is a Contrail. You may have seen them in the sky. They are produced by aircraft flying at high altitudes, around 25-40,000 feet in the sky. The hot air from the aircraft cools, condenses into water and freezes on particles from the exhaust. They are mainly composed of ice crystals.
Have you ever heard of the "Chemtrail Conspiracy"? The existence of a secret, government driven plot to covertly release harmful lithium & aluminum chemicals into the upper atmosphere to regulate food supply, control population and manipulate weather patterns?
Whatever your opinion may be on this, the world’s leading atmospheric scientists came together this week to overwhelmingly debunk the conspiracy theory.
Researchers from the University of California and the Carnegie Institution for Science asked atmospheric chemists if they had come across evidence of such a large-scale spraying program. Seventy-six of 77 responded they had not.
So there is a chance?
Researchers blamed the steady growth of air travel which leads to planes flying at higher altitudes where contrails are more likely to form.
This study will likely not sway the hardcore chemtrail believers. But this group of scientists thought it was important to finally go on record with some scientific facts about Contrails and aerosols, and how they are formed.
