Joe Knows: 3 easy ways to keep cool among high temps, high humidity

NH1 Chief Meteorologist - NH1.com

CONCORD – With temperatures lingering in the 90s and the humidity in the sticky zone, New Hampshire is in the dog days of summer.

Here are three easy tips from Chief Meteorologist Joe Joyce on how you can beat the heat during this oppressive weather.

First, close your blinds! Over 30% of unwanted heat is drawn into homes from sunlight pouring through windows.

Second, remember to adjust your ceiling fans counter clockwise as they have to be switched every season.

Lastly, if you decide to cook – use the grill. Cooking and baking heats up the entire home so take the chicken outside.
