Jets place Dee Milliner on IR, sign Josh Thomas

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets have placed starting cornerback Dee Milliner on season-ending injured reserve with a torn Achilles tendon, and signed cornerback Josh Thomas to take his spot on the roster.
Milliner injured his right leg in the Jets' 31-17 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The Jets are also awaiting results from tests on left guard Brian Winters' left knee, which is believed to have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Coach Rex Ryan said earlier Monday that both injuries appeared to be "significant" and added that there's a "definite chance" they could be season-ending injuries.
Milliner was hurt about two minutes into the game while playing on special teams.
Thomas was a fifth-round pick of Dallas in 2011, and has also spent time with Carolina and Seattle.
