HOPKINTON - A tractor-trailer jackknifed on Interstate 89 Tuesday morning, closing the interstate briefly.
A 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer crashed off the road near mile-marker 10 on I-89 Southbound after the operator Orangel Columbie Batista, 49 of Georgia, lost control and struck a guardrail.
During the crash, a fuel tank was punctured and diesel fuel began to leak.
The interstate was closed for 2 and a half hours.
Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
