BOW — New Hampshire State Police responded to a crash involving a passenger car and a tractor trailer truck on I-93 Friday morning.
The accident happened at about 8 a.m. on I-93 northbound near the I-89 junction.
The tractor trailer, driven by Nicolas Briere, 22 of Quebec, rear-ended a Toyota Rav 4 which had slowed due to traffic congestion.
The Toyota was occupied by a family of three, none of which were injured.
The truck's 48-foot tanker trailer was empty but police said large amounts of diesel fuel leaked onto the roadway when the truck jackknifed.
The accident closed three lanes of the road, slowing traffic considerably.
Briere was issued a summons for following too closely.
The crash is still under investigation.
