It would take 292 billion years to fill out every possible 2017 March Madness bracket
It's a snow day for most people as Blizzard 2017 rolls into the Granite State.
It's also opening day for the 2017 NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. So I think we can all agree, there is some extra time on your hands.
One way to use that time? Developing the perfect the bracket to bust your office pool, personal pool, or to win all those millions and millions of dollars out there for delivering the perfect one.
Something that (probably) won't work though - making a bracket for every outcome... Why?
Because there are over 9 quintillion combinations. That's a 19-digit number - 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 possible outcomes to be exact.
So at a blistering pace of one bracket per second, it'll only take you 292 billion years or so. Let's hope the snow doesn't last that long.
You all just got scienced - hoops-style.
