Inmate missing from halfway house since Friday; officials asking for help finding him

CONCORD - State police and the state Department of Corrections are looking for a missing inmate who left a halfway house on Friday saying he was going to visit his mother in Concord.

Jacob Bouchard, 22, left the state prison to visit his mother in Concord around 5 p.m. but failed to return at his scheduled check-in time at 8 p.m.

Police say they contacted his family, who said there was no planned visit and they had not seen him. Bouchard was last seen wearing a black cut-off t-shirt, basketball shorts and was riding a white bicycle.

He has been serving time for felony-level burglary and theft by deception. Bouchard would have been eligible for release in December of 2017.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact state police at 271-3636 or the Department of Corrections at 271-1804.
