Inmate escapes from transitional housing unit in Concord

CONCORD - Authorities are looking for a minimum security inmate who walked away from a transitional housing center Friday night.

Corrections officials say Adam Bergeron III, 21, of Middleton, Mass., was found missing from the Corrections Transitional Work Center during an 11:30 p.m. head count and had last been seen at a 9:30 p.m. head count.

Bergeron is described as a white man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in prison for burglary. He would have been eligible for parole on Sept. 3, but had not yet been approved.

State police and the corrections department are investigating and anyone with information on this inmate’s whereabouts is urged to call their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
