If you live in Lisbon, you should be boiling water to avoid E. Coli

LISBON - A boil order remains for Lisbon after E. Coli was found in a water sample.

The order can be lifted after 2 tests at least 24 hours apart are clear of E. Coli.

The Boil Order could be lifted by Wednesday.

Residents are being told to boil the water for 2 minutes and let it cool before using. Pre-boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.

The town is expected to notify residents via Code Red and the Honeywell system, and post notices when the order is lifted.

More information can be found on the town website.
