Scraping, shoveling, salting. That's how some people spent their morning after finding ice on their roads and on their cars.
"When I left at about three o'clock this morning they were on the road in Laconia salting and those were side roads," said Shelli Shumway of Lakes Region Cupcakes.
In Tilton, schools were on a two hour delay to allow plows to clear streets. Downtown crews out early to stay ahead of the storm and the morning commute.
In Franklin, the ice was tricky for some drivers even after the temperatures rose above freezing. Some are taking it as a final warning to be ready.
"We keep we have a pile of salt at home and we bring bags here and use some for the back of the track, too," said Corey Matthews with Lazy Daze Smoke Shop.
The snow last week and the ice from this week serving as a preview of things to come as winter approaches.
