Ice castles open in Lincoln, NH
LINCOLN - It's worth the drive to see. The Lincoln Ice Castles are just about an hour north of Concord and the drive alone through all of the mountains is beautiful enough, but all of the lights on the ice is a sight that can't be beat.
There are more than 60 towers and walls some taller than 50 feet. The interesting thing is they actually harvest the icicles. They plant them like you would with vegetables and water them and build the gorgeous castles.
This is the second time they've done this in New Hampshire. Last year it was at Loon Mountain, this year it's down at the Hobo Railroad.
Organizers say there's plenty of new features to look forward to this year.
Ticket prices and times they are open are posted on their website.
