I-93 crash leads to heroin charges

DERRY - Both a driver and passenger will be in court in December on drug charges stemming from a single car accident on I-93 in Derry Sunday.

23 year-old Jillian Nobert was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt on the highway while her passenger, 23 year-old Ethan Marquis was injecting himself with heroin. Police say, Marquis overdosed and became unconscious and that's when Nobert crashed the car.

Police say they were able to revive Marquis using Narcan and he was transported to Parkland Medical Center. He was later arrested and charged with Possession of Narcotic Drugs.

Investigators found multiple bags of heroin in the car and Nobert was also charged with Possession and Transporting Narcotic Drugs.

The pair are due in Derry District Court December 12th.
