Hundreds of dogs, 1 cause: Wags to Whiskers annual festival returns in October

NASHUA — Celebrating more than three decades as the top fundraiser for the Humane Society, Wags to Whiskers is returning Oct. 1.

The festival will be held at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack, where it has been for the past nine years, according to The Telegraph.

The celebration boasts more than 40 dogs and puppies up for adoption, food vendors, a beer tent, a kids zone with carnival games and entertainment for both people and pets.

In 2015, more than 2,000 people attended Wags to Whiskers, bringing about 650 dogs with them.

The fee to enter Wags to Whiskers is $10 per person, with a family maximum of $20. The money raised from the festival benefits Humane Society pets awaiting adoption.

Wags to Whiskers is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the most dogs having their teeth brushed at once.
