Humane Society kissing booth lets moviegoers get a 'smooch-from-a-pooch' on Valentine's Day

EPPING - Couples who ventured out to O'Neil cinemas on Sunday were treated to more than just a romantic movie.

The Cocheco Valley Humane Society was there with some of the volunteers dogs for their Smooch-From-A-Pooch event.

People were able to pet the dogs and donate to the Humane Society.

Those who donated were entered in a contest to win two free movie passes from the movie theater.

"Keep a dog warm for the winter, or food for the shelter," Mary Goyette of the Cocheco Valley Humane Society said. "So it goes to like the maintenance of the shelter and of course we are getting ready to build our new shelter so some of that, hopefully."

Those dogs were not up for adoption but the shelter says has lots of dogs that are.

If you missed smooth a pooch, mark your calendars for the first week of June for Tails for Trails.
