Hudson man seriously injured after motorcycle hits utility pole

HUDSON - A Hudson man was seriously injured when his motorcycle hit a utility pole on Robinson Road on Saturday night.

Police say Kevin Meaney, 56, was headed east on a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle with he went off the side of the road just east of Old Derry Road, hitting the pole and continuing into a wooded area around 8:20 p.m.

First responders requested a medical helicopter, and Meaney was taken to the Hills House on Derry Road where he was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Meaney was listed in serious but not critical condition at Masschusetts General Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

Police say Meaney was riding solo and was not wearing a helmet. The accident remains under investigation.
