Police say Daniel Martinage, 22, of Hudson was driving a 2014 Volkswagen north on Webster Street and drove through the stop sign at the Elm Avenue intersection and struck a utility pole. The impact caused the car to flip onto its passenger side.

Police report that Martinage was able to exit the vehicle without apparent injury. He was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Martinage was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th circuit court on Dec. 1.

The accident remains under investigation.
