HUDSON - A family-friendly event will be held in Hudson Saturday to help raise money for a 1st grader recovering from cancer.
Dylan is an 7-year-old who goes to school at Reeds Ferry Elementary in Merrimack. After experiencing unexplained headaches, and after much persistence from his parents, doctors ordered a CAT scan and discovered what they believed to be fluid or a blood clot.
During surgery, doctors learned he had a cancerous tumor. After three surgeries, Dylan is now in remission, his grandmother Lisa Shaw told NH1 News.
On his road to becoming cancer free, the family accrued medical and travel expenses.
Saturday's Luau for Dylan at the Fish and Game Club in Hudson will raise money for the family.
The event runs from 12-8 p.m. and will feature a bouncy house, live music, and much more.
Tickets can be purchased at the door and donations are accepted. Or visit Dylan's gofundme page.
