CONCORD (AP) — The New Hampshire Liquor Commission has a new chief financial officer.

Christina Demers of Hooksett, the first woman to hold the position, joined the commission as an administrative assistant in 1997. She was promoted to statistician in 1999, a job she held for more than 10 years. In 2010, she was promoted to business administrator.

Among Demers' responsibilities will be managing one of the largest budgets in state government, overseeing a staff of 12, projecting annual revenue, budgeting, sales analysis, and continuing to create the commission's annual report.
