Hooksett police arrest man wanted in connection with Manchester assault, robbery

MANCHESTER — Hooksett police have arrested a man wanted in connection with an assault and robbery in Manchester.

Manchester police had a warrant issued on Wednesday for Thomas Ford Jr., of Hooksett, for armed robbery and first-degree assault.

Police said Ford assaulted 81-year-old Young Hun Yun at his store, Han's Food Mart at 353 Maple St. around 1 p.m. Wednesday before taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the store and running off. The store owner, who his customers call Mr. Han, was able to give police a description of the suspect who assaulted him and police identified the person they were looking for as Ford.

On Thursday morning, Hooksett police said Ford was in custody and would be transferred to the Manchester Police Department. An arraignment has not yet been scheduled for Ford.
