Hooksett man injured in ATV accident may face charges

CONCORD - Charges are pending against a Hooksett man who was hospitalized yesterday after being thrown from his ATV in a wooded area that's not open to the public for off-road riding.

Conservation officers with the N.H. Fish and Game Department said Stephen Chandonnet, of Hooksett, was riding in an area between West River Road and Interstate 93 north of exit 11 when he was thrown from the ATV while trying to make a sharp turn.

He suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries in the accident around 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Conservation officers say their initial investigation suggests alcohol may have been a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
