Hooksett man charged after allegedly choking and threatening his girlfriend

HOOKSETT - A man who allegedly choked his girlfriend and told her he would make her "permanantly shut up" is under arrest.

Police say 41-year-old Larry Davenport has been charged with second-degree asault and criminal threatening after police responded to a call to the area of Kerri Lane shortly after 4 a.m. on Friday morning.

Police say the couple had been in an argument when Davenport reportedly leaned on the victim, placed his forearm on her neck, choking and threatening her. He then fled the home and was found by officers walking on Hooksett Road where he was taken into custody.

Davenport was charged and released on personal recognizance bail, police said.
