Homeless man charged with possessing crack cocaine, falsifying evidence in Manchester

MANCHESTER - Police arrested a homeless man on charges of possessing crack cocaine and falsifying evidence.

Manchester police said an officer spotted Damarcus Wells, 25, peeking into apartment buildings and walking on and off the roadway early on Wednesday, according to a police report.

Wells reportedly tossed a white substance from his pants pocket near some garbage cans. The substance the officer found tested positive for crack cocaine, police said.

Police said Wells was on probation and will be sent back to prison.
