Home destroyed in Bristol after 2-alarm fire breaks out
BRISTOL — A two-alarm fire destroyed a home Sunday night.
Firefighters responded to the call at 815 Peaked Hill Road about 5 p.m. Sunday.
Before arriving on scene crews could see smoke showing from a distance and struck a first alarm.
After arriving on scene, crews found flames showing in an "L" section of the home as well as on upper floors and struck a second alarm.
The people at home at the time the fire broke out were able to escape uninjured.
It took fire crews about a half hour to put out the bulk of the fire and they remained on scene until about 8 p.m. putting out hot spots.
The Bristol Fire Department was assisted on scene by Alexandria, Danbury, Hill, Meredith, New Hampton, Ashland, Laconia, Sanbornton, Franklin, Plymouth, and Rumney. Meredith EMS provided station coverage.
The home is a total loss.
