Home Depot plans on hiring 180,000 - including 1,800 in New England - for spring rush
Home Depot will be jumping into spring.
The home improvement retailer has announced they will be hiring up to 80,000 people in time for the spring rush. The jobs will be part-time and full-time and range from sales, operations and cashier positions.
In New England, the company says it plans to hire about 1,800 people in the Boston area, across more than 40 stores.
The move comes as Home Depot has seen increasing sales. In December the retailer said expected annual revenue should top $100 billion on 2018.
The company also says that sales at stores that opened at least a year would rise 4.9 percent for the fiscal year that just ended.
Home Depot Inc. is expected to report its fourth-quarter and annual results on Feb. 23.
