Hollis police taking on 'Movember' to help local woman in need

HOLLIS - Many people know “Movember” as the month where men grow their mustaches and facial hair to spread awareness for men’s health.

This year, Hollis Police Officers will be growing their facial hair for a hometown cause.

Lynda Rawnsley of Hollis was in a tragic head on collision in late September, suffering from many fractured, broken and crushed bones. These injuries will leave Rawnsley hospitalized for roughly eight months.

Rawnsley will be out of work for over a year while she recovers.

Hollis Police Officers will be growing facial hair to raise money for Rawnsley and her family during this difficult time.

There is also a Go Fund Me page to help support the Rawnsley family.
