Hollis officer struck in the face, head during disturbance call

HOLLIS - A 19-year-old man allegedly struck a police officer in the head and face while the officer was responding to a report of a disturbance.

Police said the disturbance call came in at 2 p.m. Sunday on Patch Road. Officer David Turgeon responded and was struck by Michael Pattelena, 19, of Hollis, police said. A brief struggle ensued and Patellena was arrested and charged with resisting detention, simple assault, and default of bail conditions. He was taken to Hillsborough County Jail.

Turgeon was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
