Henniker home unsalvageable after 2-alarm fire

HENNIKER - A 2-alarm fire caused major damage to a single family home in Henniker.

According to the Henniker Fire Department, the fire started early Sunday morning at a single-family home just before 1am.

Officials said the single-family dwelling, located on 270 Browns Way, was deemed non-salvageable after a roof collapse.

The Department said they sought help from surrounding areas including Bradfield, Warner,Weare, Deering, and Hillsboro.

Officials said everyone inside made it out safely. 1 man was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The whereabouts of 2 cats that lived in the home is unknown, though one of the cats was later spotted outside the home.

Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
