Heavy police presence at scene of Nashua fire
NASHUA - Police detectives were at the scene of a 2-alarm fire that destroyed a large section of a rental property in Nashua today.
The fire broke out around 6 p.m. at 30 Canal St.
Deputy Chief Kevin Kerrigan told NH1 News that nine people were rescued from the burning building, and that nobody suffered serious injuries.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation on scene.
Kerrigan would not comment on the extra police presence, or any pending investigations on the cause of the fire.
