Health officials confirm state's 1st case of Zika Virus diagnosed in NH


CONCORD - New Hampshire has it's first confirmed case of the Zika virus.

State health officials say a non-pregnant adult woman has tested positive for the virus.

It is believed she contracted the virus through sexual contact with a male who had traveled to an area where Zika virus is present. He was symptomatic according to health officials.

State officials stress the mosquitoes that carry Zika virus are not present in New Hampshire.

More details are expected to be released.
