Head-on collision in Maine kills young man, injures two others
HOLLIS — State Police reported a deadly head-on collision on Cape Road in Hollis late Tuesday night which led to the death of a Limington man.
Police identified the man as Jordan Lambert, 25 of South Portland, who was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit by a second car. Emergency Services brought Lambert to Maine Medical but died at the hospital
The collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night on Cape Road in Hollis, according to police reports.
According to State Police Corporal Jessica Shorey, a Hyundai operated by Nicholas Rushforth, 24 of Hollis, drove in the opposite lane of traffic when his car crashed with a Nissan operated by Tiffani Mains, 22 of Buxton.
Emergency Services transported the two drivers to Maine Medical Center, where they are being treated for leg injuries and internal damage. Both are expected to survive.
Police have not determined why Rushforth was in the wrong lane, or which occupants wore seat belts.
