Head-on collision closes Route 236 for more than 1 hour


SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — A head-on collision between a car and pickup truck closed Route 236 for more than an hour Friday.

The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. between Honda Civic and an Atlas Stone Works Ford F550 pickup truck, Seacoastonline reported.

The driver of the Honda was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries, while the driver of the truck was not injured.

Traffic was re-routed around the scene during the incident.

The South Berwick fire and police departments responded, as well as York Ambulance.
