Head of Siemens USA to speak at Manchester summit on work-based learning


MANCHESTER (AP) — The head of Siemens USA is delivering the keynote address at the governor's Summit on Work-Based Learning in Manchester.

The Monday event is being held at Manchester Community College.

Eric Spiegel of the technology company plans to focus on America's "training gap" and how New Hampshire can build public-private partnerships to train workers for jobs in growing science, technology, engineering and math fields.

He will discuss Siemens' experience launching academic partnerships and encourage employers to become more engaged in workforce training initiatives.
