HAZMAT team responds to Franklin facility for report of strange odor

FRANKLIN – HAZMAT officials responded to the Watts Distribution Facility on Industrial Park Drive on Tuesday morning.

According to police, officials received a report of a strange odor coming from a trailer that was making workers feel dizzy and nauseous.

Crews isolated the trailer and determined the odor was the result of a product the trailer previously transported but that there were no hazardous materials present.

Three of 10 workers were transported to Franklin Regional Hospital for evaluation, and the trailer was cleared.
