Hassan visits Hampton Falls 4th-graders after NH state raptor controversy

HAMPTON FALLS - New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan paid a special visit to 4th-graders in Hampton Falls Tuesday morning.

Their Red-Tailed Hawk bill was shot down by New Hampshire lawmakers.

The Governor met with students and some parents at Lincoln Ackerman School.

With the N.H. Senate resurrecting the red-tailed hawk bill that was proposed by 4th-graders, do you think the N.H. Legislature will approve the bill after all?

She presented the kids with a resolution honoring youth participation in government.

She also said the lawmakers' behavior the day the bill was voted on was inappropriate.

One student suggesting it's time to forgive lawmakers.
