Hanover, NH, polls evacuated when fire alarm triggered

HANOVER - A fire alarm triggered during the 6 p.m. hour shut down polls at the high school for 20 minutes when the school was evacuated.

Because the polls close in that town at 7, the town moderator decided to keep polls open for another 20 minutes.

Eight people voted during that 20 minute time so the moderator segregated those ballots.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Anne Edwards said a court hearing will be held at 8:30 tonight to determine what happens to those ballots.
