Hancock man arrested for DWI after crashing into building in Claremont


CLAREMONT – A Hancock man was arrested after he was allegedly driving while intoxicated and crashed in Opera House Square.

According to police, Patrick Taylor, 55, was driving on Pleasant Street Thursday afternoon when it traveled through the center of the square’s fountain area.

Taylor, in a 2007 Jeep, then allegedly crossed into the opposite side of the square and hit another vehicle and the Moody Professional building.

Moody was charged with DWI and resisting arrest.

The incident is currently still under investigation.
