Hampton house fire displaces 1

HAMPTON — A two-alarm fire at a two-story F Street home Sunday night displaced one resident but caused no injuries, according to fire officials. reported the fire broke out at approximately 8:25 p.m. Sunday at 17 F Street. The fire was under control within 20 minutes, said Hampton Fire Capt. Michael McMahon. The fire started on the first floor and traveled to the second floor before being knocked down, according to McMahon. The cause of the fire was still under investigation, he said Monday morning.

Hampton Fire Chief Jameson Ayotte said the damage will require “extensive repairs." The home is located near the Sea Ketch Restaurant and Casino Ballroom at Hampton Beach.
The tenant, who was home at the time of the fire, was outside when firefighters arrived.
