Hampstead woman charged with committing hit and run on mother and son

HAMPSTEAD — A Sandown woman is facing charges after allegedly committing a hit-and-run on a mother and her 12-year-old son on Thursday afternoon.

Bonnie Mack, 48, of 286 Main St. was charged with reckless conduct, resisting arrest, conduct after an accident, and driving after suspension, reports the Union Leader.

Police responded to the area of East Main Street near Ellyson Avenue around 5 p.m. Thursday for a report of two pedestrians who had been struck by a white Acura that then left the scene.

The pedestrians were Carrie Phelan, 43, and her son, Casey, of Hampstead. They were treated on scene for minor injuries and scrapes.

Investigation revealed that the vehicle was registered to William Greene, 69, of 286 Main St. in Sandown.

Contacting Greene led to the arrest of Mack, who lived at the same address.
