Hampstead ice creamery holds fundraiser to support family of officer who lost cancer battle

HAMPSTEAD - Bre's Ice creamery of Hampstead will be serving up waffles and ice cream to support the family of local police officer who recently lost his battle with cancer.

Matt Moore, 38, passed away last month after a 15-month battle with brain cancer leaving his two young children and beloved wife Terrie behind.

For National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, Bre's will be donating 15 percent of all breakfasts served on Saturday and will also provide raffle items.

After mourning the loss of their officer, the ice creamery asks for the community's support and will be holding the event from 8-11 a.m.
