Hackers of cheating website Ashley Madison threaten to release customer information

CONCORD - In the latest string of recent data breaches, hackers are now threatening to release information for millions of customers using a web site that helps married people cheat.

AshleyMadison.com admits some customer information was stolen but the owner of the company says steps have been taken to secure its site.

In the meantime, hackers are threatening to release customer records if the company doesn’t take down the website.

The hackers appear to be upset over the company’s full delete service which erases a users profile for a 19-dollar fee.

In an online post, the hackers say the service doesn’t actually delete all the information.

Ashley Madison claims it has more than 37 million members across the globe.
