Guns, ring among items stolen from unlocked cars in Concord

CONCORD - In what's normally a relatively quiet, side-street neighborhood - residents are on alert after a string of car break-ins.

Concord Police say two semi-automatic handguns - a Glock G26 and a Ruger SR22 - were among the items reported stolen from an unlocked car outside a condo complex on Mulberry street. Both guns had full magazines.

The theft reportedly happened late at night on Monday or early Tuesday.

An iPod Nano, a ring, a military knife and several dollars in change were also reported stolen from the vehicle.

Police said numerous other break-ins on Mulberry street were also called in between Dec. 22-23. All of the vehicles that had items taken were unlocked, police said.

No suspects have yet been identified.

Anyone with information should contact the Concord Police Crimeline at (603) 226-3100.
