Gun incident at UNH prompts shelter in place order
DURHAM - The University of New Hampshire ordered a shelter in place early Monday morning, after reports of a gun being shown at on-campus apartments.
At 4 a.m. police received a call about a gun being shown at the Gables.
An order to shelter in place was issued while police sought more information.
Four males, who are not UNH students, were identified in the incident, which police continue to investigate.
There was no fight or threat made.
The shelter in place order was lifted about 5:30 a.m.
Lee, Durham, Dover, Newmarket, Barrington and state police helped during the search of the apartment complex.
